Chiropractic
Full Spine/Diversified-This is the traditional hands-on approach to chiropractic care. This type of adjusting allows restoration of function without the assistance of the drop table or other instruments. Biomechanical dysfunction is found in this technique through means of motion palpation. Correction of alignment may result in an audible popping sound from the joint being adjusted. Using specific vectors and speed, the adjustment can be made with little force.
Thompson Drop-This technique is a hybrid of hands on and instrument assisted. The hands of the doctor are still used to deliver the adjustment, but the drop table assists in the adjustment. Thompson technique has a specific analysis to aid in revealing where the subluxations are and requires less force, as it allows gravity to assist in the adjustment. Though less forceful, this technique is just as effective. Both Dr. Matt and Dr. John are trained and well versed in Thompson Technique analysis and protocol. Dr. Matt served as a club president in Thompson Technique in chiropractic school, teaching the analysis and protocol of adjusting to other students on a weekly basis.
Activator Methods Technique/Arthrostim-The use of an activator or arthrostim is an entirely instrument assisted means of adjusting the patient. This is often used in elderly patients, sensitive patients, patients in acute pain, or patients who just prefer to not hear/feel the popping sound. These are handheld instruments that deliver very light and very quick adjustments, requiring very little force. These instruments also allow for an increased degree of specificity in the adjustment. Though they use less force than a drop table or diversified adjusting, these instrument assisted adjustments are just as effective. Both Dr. Matt and Dr. John are trained and well versed in the Activator Methods analysis and protocol.
